The elevated walkway on the left hand side of the famous Manila Hotel is filled with souvenir shops, mini-canteens, snack bars, and other stalls. You don't have to worry when you get hungry or get thirsty while touring. They have shades and seats where you can lounge enjoying the sea air blowing against your face.
A guest who came from Singapore mentioned its similarity to Malacca of Malaysia. Now, that's interesting, Melacca of Malaysia is equals to Luneta of Manila. Anyway, it's a good place to unwind and feel the sea air blowsing against your face even if it stinks at times. Just don't notice the foul smell of the water so much and you'll be fine. Also you can have a good view of the good old Manila Hotel which is just a few meters away from the walkway.
Ah, to enjoy the view without having problems, I suggest that you wear comfortable walking shoes. Around this place, you'll be doing more walking than sitting. But when you're tired, you can also take the horse carriages and ask the drivers to tour you around. That's another way of looking around the city. That's us on the picture above and that is exactly what we're doing :) Have fun looking around! Enjoy!
A final note that I would like to mention is the cost of horse carriage rentals. It cost P50/person for a normal trip from Luneta Park to Baywalk. But if you want a longer trip, discuss it first with the driver. Try to ask for a bargain. Don't pretend you have all the money and pay P150/person, even if you do have all the money. Why? So they won't get used to it and they will remain nice guys ;)
