This is going to be a long story so I'm going to write it in parts and will write it in English for the sake of other readers who may find the information useful. I'm not a good storyteller so I'll just state the facts straight to the point.
Facebook Status Explained:
No hearsays nor rumours can beat experiencing things first hand and seeing it with your own eyes, touching it with your own hands, hearing it with your own ears. A real-life awakening!
I am not a first time traveller but this experience was such a learning experience it's worthy to be described in detail here for the benefit of my memory and friends who may be thinking of the same thing. Read through... and think again. Think very carefully and be prepared for any "inconvenience".
I entered Singapore 26th of September and stayed until 24th November. I was initially given 30 days social visit pass but I extended it online during my 3rd week in Singapore and it was approved the next day. During my stay in SG, I didn't exit to other places or countries. I just went to tourist destinations, met friends, and tried my luck applying for work online. A company hired me, let me sign contract after the interviews, then applied for my Employment Pass. EP was rejected so automatically, my permit level was brought down to S Pass because that's where my job/position was qualified as per MOM. This information of course is according to the employer in response to my inquiries.
Unfortunately, the company who applied for my permit has ran out of S Pass quota so my S Pass permit was summarily rejected. Now, I'm running out of time to stay in Singapore and for the company to address their quota problem, it's going to take a few weeks up to a couple of months.
On the 24th of November 2010, I flew to Kuala Lumpur to see my sister-in-law and my friends there. Another reason is so I won't be overstaying in Singapore. Arrival in Kuala Lumpur's LCCT (Low Cost Terminal) was uneventful, other than the immigration officer asking if I have a return ticket to the Philippines, which I have and showed to them and all went well. I took the bus from LCCT to KL Sentral where my friends told me they'll be picking me up. I arrived in KL Sentral, was picked up by my friend's housemate, was treated for dinner, then stayed in their condo for a few days while visiting places in Kuala Lumpur.
By the way, it was my first time to Genting Highlands and I loved the chocolate factory and the House of Tidbits more than anything else. Thanks to my sister-in-law who gave me a coat as a present, I didn't mind the chill in the mountains.
A week after, I decided to leave KL and try to go back to Singapore on the 1st of December so I can attend some meetings with friends and more interviews. But the evening turned out to be a very long educational night.
