Do you know what this is? Have you ever seen one? Have you used one?
I suppose I'm too curious to know your thoughts and experiences about this precious gem we have back home.
It's the real flat iron that has been used all those years ago when electricity was just a dream. It's a heavy iron that is warmed by coals or embers placed inside.
The holes on the side helps make the coals of embers glow and go warmer when you are ironing your clothes.
The weight is a good thing for me when ironing coz it presses the clothes well. The only thing I dislike is when I'm ironing white clothes and the air blew, some of the dark ashes would fall to the cloth. If you're not looking and just kept pushing the flat iron on, you may end up with a white shirt with black marks courtesy of the ashes from the flat iron.
My happiest memories of this was when I was ironing my high school graduation toga and this was so useful that many neighbors came to borrow it.
